- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2 lemons)
- Zest of 2 lemons
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it lightly with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, whisking until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest until well incorporated.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the glaze, sift the powdered sugar into a small bowl, then mix in the lemon juice and lemon zest until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more lemon juice if necessary.
- Once the brownies are completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top, slice into squares, and serve.

- These lemon brownies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
