  • Yield: 24 brownies 1x

Description

Indulge in these rich and fudgy brownies, featuring melted butter, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and a decadent layer of hot fudge sauce. Baked to perfection, they offer a gooey texture that chocolate lovers will adore!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup hot fudge sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the unsalted butter in a large mixing bowl using the microwave or stovetop, then let it cool slightly.
  3. Add the granulated sugar to the melted butter and whisk until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  4. Crack in the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, and add the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  8. Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it with butter or cooking spray, and optionally lining it with parchment paper.
  9. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread the hot fudge sauce evenly over the top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick (it should come out with a few moist crumbs).
  11. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  12. Lift the brownies out using the parchment paper overhang and place them on a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. Once cooled, cut into squares (about 2 inches by 2 inches).
  14. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  15. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzle with more hot fudge sauce for an extra treat!
