Ingredients
- Puff Pastry
- Ground Beef
- Ham
- Cheese
- Garlic Powder
- Onion Powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- Egg Wash (beaten egg and water)
- Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Once heated, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the ham, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the ham is heated through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and mix in your chosen cheese until melted and well combined.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheets. Cut them into squares or rectangles, aiming for about 4×4 inches per piece.
- Spoon a generous amount of the beef, ham, and cheese mixture onto one half of each pastry square, leaving a border around the edges.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press the edges together to seal. Crimp the edges with a fork or your fingers for a decorative touch.
- Place the pockets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pockets are puffed and golden brown.
- Once baked, remove the pockets from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
