  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  3. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture over the chicken breasts.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese until well blended.
  5. Spread a generous spoonful of the cream cheese mixture over one side of each chicken breast, leaving space around the edges.
  6. Lay two slices of bacon side by side, slightly overlapping. Place a chicken breast on top and roll the bacon around the chicken, tucking in the ends. Repeat for remaining chicken breasts.
  7. Use toothpicks to secure the ends of the bacon if necessary.
  8. In a large oven-safe skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
  9. Place the chicken bacon wraps seam side down in the skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until the bacon is golden brown.
  10. Move the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  11. Let the chicken wraps rest for about 5 minutes after baking.
  12. Slice into bite-sized pieces or serve whole, garnished with chopped parsley.
