Get ready to fall head over heels for these Crispy Bang Bang Salmon Bites! Juicy, flaky salmon pieces are coated in a crispy crust and smothered in a creamy, sweet, and spicy Bang Bang sauce.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Salmon Fillets
  • Cornstarch
  • All-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Sriracha
  • Mayonnaise
  • Sweet Chili Sauce
  • Lime Juice
  • Honey or Maple Syrup (Optional)
  • Olive oil
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Fresh chopped green onions or cilantro (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. First, take your salmon fillets and pat them very, very dry with paper towels.
  2. Carefully cut the salmon into roughly 1-inch bite-sized cubes.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the salmon cubes with a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. In a separate shallow bowl or a Ziploc bag, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk or shake until well combined.
  5. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl or bag with the coating mixture.
  6. Gently toss or shake until each piece of salmon is evenly coated.
  7. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) or your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  8. Lightly spray the air fryer basket or a wire rack with cooking oil.
  9. Arrange the coated salmon bites in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd it.
  10. Lightly spray the tops of the salmon bites with cooking oil.
  11. Air fry for 8-12 minutes or bake for 12-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the salmon is golden brown, crispy, and cooked through.
  12. While the salmon is cooking, in a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and fresh lime juice until smooth and creamy.
  13. Once the salmon bites are cooked and crispy, you can either toss them with the Bang Bang sauce or serve the sauce on the side for dipping.
  14. Garnish with fresh chopped green onions or cilantro if desired. Enjoy immediately!
