- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the egg noodles and cook according to package instructions (7-9 minutes) until al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the noodles and set aside, drizzling with a little olive oil to prevent sticking.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add chicken broth and bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and let simmer for another 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Gradually add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Add the drained egg noodles and toss to combine, using tongs to ensure even coating.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of chicken broth or water to reach desired consistency.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Plate the chicken buttered noodles in shallow bowls.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately while hot and creamy.
