Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini
- 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the cheese tortellini and cook according to package instructions (about 3-5 minutes) until they float to the top and are tender.
- Drain the tortellini in a colander, reserving about 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the thinly sliced sirloin steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove and cover with foil to keep warm.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and green bell pepper. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet, pour in the Worcestershire sauce, and mix everything together. Cook for another minute.
- Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet with the steak and vegetables. Toss gently to combine, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
- Sprinkle the shredded provolone cheese over the top, cover with a lid, and cook for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from heat and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve hot, straight from the skillet. Enjoy with crusty bread to soak up the flavors.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of water to keep moist.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the cooking time of the steak based on your preferred doneness.
